Materials, components & systems for energy efficiency: from nano to macro.

GREMAN, research group on materials, microelectronics, acoustics & nanotechnology, is a joint research laboratory of Tours university and CNRS in partnership with the French alternative energies and atomic energy commission (CEA) and INSA Centre Val de Loire.  The laboratory was created on January 1st 2012 by a merge of three groups that have been operating since the end of the 90’s :

  • Advanced Materials Electrodynamic laboratory (LEMA), specialised in advanced functional materials,
  • Powerful Microelectronic laboratory (LMP), specialised in materials and components for power microelectronics and their applications,
  • Ultrasound Characterisation, Piezoelectricty and Transductors teams (formerly LUSSI), specialised in ultrasonic and piezoelectric devices and their applications.
